The goal is to involve more than 5% of the world’s population in combatting solid waste debris including marine debris. This is a crucial time in our planet’s history and the engagement taken by so many citizens all over the world these last months proves that there is hope. Cleaning the planet and reducing our own waste to a minimum is not enough though, we have to report and boycott the corporations dumping waste in our oceans. What started as an opportunity to photograph a cute little sea horse turned into one of frustration and sadness as the incoming tide brought with it countless pieces of trash and sewage. This sea horse drifts with the trash day in and day out as it rides the currents that flow along the Indonesian archipelago.
